Did you attend Maker Faire New York this weekend? TI was everywhere, whether it be on-stage discussing the Power Racing Series and DIY connected appliances, or in the projects of Makers across the show. Our resident LaunchPad extraordinaire even stopped by EDN’s reader/editor meet-up to show off a few TI demos.

Check out a few of the things we loved most about the show:

Of course the first thing we found was a random marching band walking around the grounds. This is Maker Faire after all!

At the Temboo booth, a SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® CC3200 wireless MCU LaunchPad™ development kit was connected to a webpage to control a gas valve. There was also a sensor that would detect if gas was leaking and automatically shut off the valve. This is a great example of pairing Temboo and LaunchPad in industrial applications.

MSP430™ LaunchPad development kits and the Grove starter kit make the perfect pair. Did you snag one this weekend? Let us know what you plan to make with it!

What was your favorite part of the show? Let us know in the comments!
