Just wanted to let you know about a useful app from the Apple App Store that uses BLE for its main functionality. It's called Find My Car Smarter (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/find-my-car-smart/id480619632?mt=8). It works using any BLE proximity device (the developers shipped out USB dongles to those that supported them on Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1628273204/find-my-car-smart). The idea is that you leave the proximity tag in your car. When you move out of range or turn off the ignition, the app automatically stores your GPS location. If you then forget where you parked your car in a huge US-style parking lot you can just whip out your iPhone 4S and then you can see both the tag location and your current location on a map inside the app. The app will even keep track of the time since you parked if you need to feed a parking meter.

This is a good example of what is possible with BLE and a bit of creative thinking. I'm personally very excited to see what people are going to come up with over the next few coming months, I'm pretty sure we'll see a flood of creative new BLE apps and gadgets!
