Just a few short weeks ago, Texas Instruments introduced the opening of TI Silicon Valley Labs, a new analog research center nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley.

As described by Gregg Lowe, senior vice president of TI’s Analog business, this new TI lab will be a center for disruptive innovation.

Dr. Ahmad Bahai, TI’s Analog chief technology officer and director of TI Silicon Valley Labs, talked about how TI is committed to playing an important role in the unique ecosystem of innovation in Silicon Valley. He discussed the power management challenges associated with cloud computing and how the labs’ collaboration with universities and customers can help solve challenges like this.

Several researchers and professors spoke at the event, as the opening was an opportunity to discuss the needs and requirements for innovation throughout the electronics value chain.
