Hello fellow engineers. My name is Russell Ramsay. I manage the internet marketing team for TI's analog products. Our team is constantly looking for ways to make your online experience better so that you can focus on designing your products and getting to market faster. A common complaint that we have heard is how frustrating it is using parametric search to find parts. Yes, parametric search can be daunting for even the most experienced design engineer. We have tried to make the parametric search experience easier with automatic part list updates, multi-value selection, and range searching as described in the recent Parametric Search Tips posting. However, frustrations remain.
Maybe it's time for a different way to search?
I would like to give you a sneak peak at a beta of a new search tool that we've been developing called GPS (Global Part Selector) for TI's ADC product line. The functionality of the GPS tool was built based on feedback from users like yourself. Our goal is to create a product search tool that makes it easier and quicker to get to a short list of parts using graphical visualizations and search controls uncommon to semiconductor product selection.
A Glimpse of the ADC GPS Tool Features & Functionality:
I invite you to take the the tool for a test spin yourself. And we want your feedback... do you like the functionality? How can we make it better? What features/capabilities are missing?
Try it out:
ADC GPS (Beta)
Please post your feedback as responses to this blog.
Thanks and stay tuned for more... Russ Ramsay
This is awesome! :) Very helpful. Only for adc?
Thanks Phantom. We are close to getting our precision amplifier portfolio into a GPS tool as well. Should see a beta link next week. Any suggestions for tweaks would be greatly appreciated!
The Precision Amplifier GPS tool is available to try (focus.ti.com/.../precamp.html). Similar functionality to the ADC GPS tool. Please give us your feedback at e2e.ti.com/.../167.aspx. Enjoy!
