TI’s new community focused Reward & Recognition Program is an innovative way to reward and recognize individual members for their valuable contributions made to the TI E2E Community. The objective for this new feature is to acknowledge TI’s appreciation for the engineers that make up the TI E2E Community.
The new program is designed to provide points to community members based upon their activity within the TI E2E Community. As you can see in the below table, there are numerous ways in which a community member can earn points, including: asking and answering forum questions, commenting on blog posts and connecting with fellow engineers. Also, as members consistently contribute and earn participation points within the TI E2E Community, they will periodically achieve higher levels of community status, thus setting themselves apart from their engineering peers. You can even take a look at how you personally match up to other community members, by visiting the TI E2E Community Leaderboard!

The first phase of this new program is geared toward “recognizing” the most active community members, while the second phase, planned for launched later this year, will focus on distributing physical rewards to TI E2E Community participants. You mention 'wiki edits' above - are those 'wiki edits' on this e2e site (but not http://processors.wiki.ti.com)? If so, bummer.

Unfortunately not...at least not yet. It has been added to our wiki roadmap.
In all fairness, I think it would make sense to give some more points for blog posts; it takes a lot more work to put together a blog post than it does to post a comment.

I would not disagree with that statement. However, we are limited to the extent at which we can customize the point values. This is something that we would like to change in the near future.

Yes, of course. You can post content in the Design Note wiki on E2E. Within any group on the TI E2E Community (example: Amplifiers), there is a "Design Note" tab at the top of the page, right under the title for that group that particular group i.e. Amplifiers.
Here is an example for the "Amplifiers" group - e2e.ti.com/.../default.aspx. You are most welcome to post your content into the "Design Note" section.

That's a very good question. At this point only TI employees have access to author blog posts, and that can be done by contacting me directly. However, we are currently in the development of creating process that will allow non-TI employees to author blog posts as well. This feature will be coming in the next few months.

What do the incremented green bars beneath a user's points signify?

Hi Eric,
That is a very good question. The green bar was a default symbol used to track user activity within the TI E2E Community. However, during the upgrades that we made to the community we launched a new ranking system that is discussed in the blog post above. Therefore, the green bar is no longer a system used to accurately measure one's community activity and instead the "circular" symbol has taken its place. We did not remove the green bar during out upgrades, due to the customization work required at the time. However, we do plan to remove the green bar in the near future.
Also, design notes are different than forums in the simple fact that they include more detailed information surrounding a particular subject. Forums are used more for questions and answers, while design notes are more similar to wiki pages, in that they include a more complete analysis of a particular topic.
Thanks Arik! One other question. According to your post on 8/25, community members can post design notes to a category, but I can't seem to find how to go about this. Any suggestions?

In each forum group you should see a "Design Note" tab in the sub-heading of the group. If you can't find it, just let me know and I will send you a screen capture.
I still do not understand or could not find way to create wiki links.
What is the difference between Design Note & new wiki page. I see both the tabs present in one or other place. I can only see "no activity" in those tabs & could not find link to add my activity.
I have created wiki topics on http://processors.wiki.ti.com, but that has different account. How do i link this wiki to my e2e account to gain 20 point as listed above.
