Hi all,

We’re here at CES, and we’ve been busy! Jim Kennedy, our general manager of C6000 DSP, just wrapped up a meeting with Junko Yoshida of EE Times and Jeff Bier of the Embedded Vision Alliance (EVA). TI and EVA share a belief that embedded vision is changing the way consumers work, communicate and play, and we’re working together to make vision application development faster and easier.

At TI, we’ve been pioneering embedded vision technology for over 20 years, and we’ve seen a lot of changes since then. Machines and electronics have gained human-like intelligence in applications such as automotive safety, where devices are helping drivers stay in the lane and avoid obstacles in the road, and industrial vision, where machines are performing quality inspection and sorting objects. We’re excited to share story with EE Times during CES, but this is just the beginning. This year has much in store to help our customers innovate in the embedded vision market.

We also want to hear from you – what embedded vision technology of the future are you most looking forward to?
