You may have seen the news about our TMS320C6748 DSP development kit (read Kanika Carver’s blog post: Access Granted 007-Style!. Kanika makes a good point: Many of the access control applications of today, complete with fingerprint detection as well as iris and face recognition, sound like they are straight out of a spy novel. However, they offer you access to your laptop, smartphone and gym today.
TI’s C6748 SYS/BIOS software development kit (SDK) makes it fast and easy to add biometric analytics technology to access control applications. It includes several demonstrations, including fingerprint recognition and face detection, that offer a starting point for developing and demonstrating the real-time intelligence of TI’s C674x DSPs. The SDK is a one-stop download solution for all the components.
The SDK also includes:
The SDKs example codes are compiled with Code Composer Studio™ integrated development environment v5.1, which is shipped as part of the C6748 DSP development kit or available by separate download. The SDK also provides face detect example to build a development environment using Makefile.
With this SDK, you can run biometric analytics demos in less than ten minutes and begin to create applications in less than an hour. While it is included in our recently announced C6748 DSP development kit, you can also download the SDK separately at no cost. Find out more here:
