TMDSEMU560V2-U System Trace USB Emulator (Blackhawk USB560v2 System Trace Emulator)
The latest edition to the XDS560v2 System Trace products from Texas Instruments breaks the $1,000 price barrier while still providing all the advanced debug capabilities of the XDS560v2 reference design. The cost-effective XDS560v2 System Trace USB Emulator, P/N: TMSEMU560V2STM-U $995, is a compact and portable USB 2.0 bus-powered device that can be used in the lab or on the road offering system trace debug support, a 50 MHz TCLK with loop back, faster downloads, IEEE 1149.7 (a.k.a. cJTAG) and more (see XDS560v2_System_Trace for more details).
The XDS560v2 STM USB Emulator (USB560v2) can be used on 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows and Linux and is compatible with virtual machines. The emulator pod weighs in at under 5 ounces and measures only 4.72X2.36X1.18" (120X60x30mm), making it the smallest XDS560v2 around. Bi-color status LEDs are provided for activity and state as well as a graphical configuration and test utility.
The USB560v2 may be small, but does not lack power. It includes a high-speed, coax cable with MIPI 60 connection (see below) allowing for system trace data collection, which is not offered on some other models in the same price range. In addition to STM compatibility, which is provided by the CToolsLib on selected TI devices, you can also collect Embedded Trace Buffer(ETB) data (see CToolsLib for more details and supported devices). Pin converters for the popular TI JTAG connections (ARM20, TI14, and cTI20) are included and shown below.
So, whether you are debugging a motor control application on a 28x microcontroller or trying to locate a larger system issue amongst C66xx or OMAP multi-core device CPUs, the USB560v2 provides all the features and support you need at an affordable price.
