I've just upgraded from ccsv33 to 40 and I sorely miss the Execution Graph.

There is a webpage "DSP/BIOS Support in CCSv4" "Summary" ( URL =

http://wiki.davincidsp.com/index.php?title=DSP/BIOS_Support_in_CCSv4

)  And it shows the following table ...

BIOS 5.2x BIOS 5.3x BIOS 5.4x BIOS 6.xx
Build support Yes Yes Yes Yes
Runtime Object View No No Yes Yes
CPU Load No No Yes Yes
Thread Load No No No Yes
LOG_Printf No No Yes Yes
Execution graph No No No* Yes
Statistics Display No No Yes No

Notice the "No*" entry.   There is not explanation about what the "*" means but it is giving me a glimmer of hope that I might be able to get an Execution graph to work with DSPBIOS 5.4 on CCSV4.

Does anyone have an idea with that "*" means???

Thanks

(P.S.  I'll take me answer off line because I'm already late leaving for home)

Hi David,

I am not sure why the Execution graph included an asterisk under BIOS v5.4x but FYI it has since been removed. Sorry for the confusion.

David,

Execution Graph is not supported for BIOS5.4x in CCSv4 (the "*" has been removed from the webpage). The instrumentation available in BIOS5.4x does not allow for an accurate graph hence the decision not to support it ... these problem exists in the CCSv3.3 execution graph.

BIOS 6.xx addressed these problems and produces an accurate Execution Graph.

Regards,

Imtaz.
