When reporting a CCS issue on the forum please provide the following to help expedite analysis:

  1. FIRST search the CCS mediawiki (CCSv3 FAQ and CCSv4 FAQ is a good place to start) and this forum to see if information on the issue already exists. If you are a CCSv4 user, try cleaning your workspace. If #1 failed to yield any resulst, then proceed with #2 and provide the following information:
  2. Version numbers for IDE (ex. 3.3.82.13), Code Generation Tools (ex. 6.0.8), DSP/BIOS (ex. 5.31.02) being used.
  3. Target and emulator used (ex. DM6446 EVM with Spectrum Digital 510 USB)
  4. A detailed and reproducible test case. Providing an executable + pjt and source (if applicable and possible) is also very useful but if it is not feasible to attach the test case on the forum because of IP issues, state that a test case is available upon request if someone from TI wishes to contact you for it.
  5. If CCS crashed, provide the crash mini-dump file if one was generated (see mini-dump FAQ for more information). For CCSv4 users, the mini-dump files are located in a different path: <INSTALL DIR>\ccsv4\DebugServer\win32\components\Log
  6. CCSv4 users: Attach an error log. The error log can be exported to a text file from the Error Log view (View->Other->PDE Runtime->Error Log)

Thanks!

I am trying to attach a sample project for the issue I am reporting but I am forbidden to post files.

Where do I ask for permission to post files ?

You should be able to attach a zip file to your profile (i.e. click on your name on the forum) that you can then link into the post, though I am not sure if you can actually add a zip file to a particular post the way the forum is currently configured.

Take a look into your profile page and there should be a 'My Files' section on the right side of the page with a link to view all files which should lead to a page to allow you to add files.
