The central location for E2E training, feature updates, member feedback and site support
At this point, we've heard from two of the three non-TI employees who have reached the fabled Guru status on E2E, but today, we'll give the only TI employee who's reached the milestone a chance to introduce himself.
Getting to the Guru level if you're a TI employee is no easy task, as you have to accumulate a total of 50,000 points before you're awarded the label. None of the non-TI Gurus have made it to 50,000 yet, although Jens-Michael Gross is getting pretty darn close. Ki-Soo Lee reached Guru status recently, and is definitely one of TI's biggest gems on the community.
Let's let him give you the rundown.
Ki-Soo Lee (52,170 points)
"My role at TI is Software Development Organization (SDO) Tools Applications Engineer. I support our software development tools, specifically Code Composer Studio. This involves customer support (via forums or onsite with customers), training (Tech Days, FAE Summits, onsite workshops, developing collateral) and providing input/feedback to the local CCS engineering teams.
I have been part of E2E since its release. Before then, I was part of whatever forums existed prior to E2E (internal and external).
As a co-moderator of the Code Composer Studio forums, I am responsible for seeing that questions get answered on these forums. I do my best to answer any question related to Code Composer Studio, drawing in additional expertise as needed.
Initially, I saw the high point total needed for Guru status and thought it would take some time to reach it, but I felt that I'd eventually get there. The CCS forums have some of the highest traffic of all the E2E forums and I spend a lot of time on them. Because one of my primary responsibilities is forum support, I felt that reaching Guru status was simply me "doing my job."
Obviously, Ki-Soo Lee does his job very well. He's only the first in what will soon be a long line of TI employees to ascend to Guru status, but for now, he's the top dog. We'll see if this inspires a little friendly competition amongst some of the other TI employees.
