Welcome to a new E2E series where we will introduce you to our TI E2E Gurus. Kicking off this series is recent TI E2E Guru Chris Glaser who is very active in the Power Management section of E2E especially in the Non-Isolated DC/DC Forum.
Describe your role at Texas Instruments and your history in working with the E2E community?
Started out supporting one of the first Analog e2e forums: Non-Isolated DC/DC. Have also supported battery chargers, SVS, linear regulators, and LED drivers as my role has changed but the best questions still come from Non-Isolated DC/DC.
What was the last book or film you read or saw that inspired you and that you would recommend to others?
I haven’t seen it quite yet but others say For Greater Glory is really worth seeing to keep in mind all the freedoms we enjoy.
What forums on E2E are you most active in and any tips for community members in either asking questions in them or searching for answers?
Non-isolated DC/DC. Please please begin your post title with the part number you are asking about AND put some key words in the title after the part number. With so many parts supported in this forum, I don’t want to miss yours.
For anyone new or starting out with areas your forums cover what resources or advice would you give them?
First, read the datasheet and look at the EVM and its user’s guide. Many questions are already answered in these documents. Second, order the EVM and test out your idea with it.
Any quick tips you want to share for other community members?
Please just order the EVM for your very first prototype. So many issues are caused by poor board layouts, which can all be avoided if the EVM layout is used. You can even download the gerbers for the EVM and copy it directly to your final product.

While this is not necessarily a sign of quality (which I couldn't judge anyway, as I never visited the DC/DC forum), it is definitely a sign of dedication and passion (or of a generous salary :) )
we are using Power Supply Sequencer and Monitor UCD90120ARGCT , we are experiencing issues with our system that uses this chip, we determined that noise in the system causing a reset and GPIO forces other regulator to shutdown, those regulator uses an enable signal from the UCD part. would like to discus our application with an App engineer
