Jens-Michael Gross fills a role that is conspicuously absent from TI: World-class software support for TI MCUs.

IHO, just like fatherhood doesn’t end with conception, TI's responsibility to its customers doesn’t end after selling value added sand, nor should it be shifted to customers. Where are the Success Stories on your own support people?

Agreed. I truly hope TI recognizes the level of technical support excellence that this man has achieved. And this isn't just measured by his shear number of posts or responses, but the quality of their content. His forum posts alone are often more clear and detailed than what you get with many documented app notes. I am quite sure that this man has single-handedly saved more customer MSP430 projects than an army of apps engineers. I can say that I have personally referenced his forum posts for more than one MSP430 project. As others have said, it was quite shocking to learn that he was not even a TI employee. He has definitely set a new bar for application support.

I hope that TI is extremely grateful for Jens-Michael, who has relentlessly assisted me and so many others with his engineering excellence. I thought he was a TI representative, so even now it is a surprise to learn his title is "Customer". To me, he is more than a "contributor". Instead, he is the reason I stuck with the MSP430 when up against some difficult challenges. Thank you Jens-Michael, and congratulations for this worthy recognition.
