The central location for E2E training, feature updates, member feedback and site support
So I registered here last week so I could get some help debugging some TI parts we are using, and for some reason, it registered me and my username is 1931435...anyone know how I can make it a name instead of looking like I am an internet bot trolling around here?
Thanks.
In the top right (when logged in) browse to the text navigation link "Settings" and under "Basic Information" populate the "Name" field with what you want show up as here and then click on save.

Man...I went through just about every Profile link I could find, and still never saw the Settings option up there.
First, welcome to the community! We hop you'll find E2E a valued resource when interacting with Texas Instruments.
You can actually update your screen name in your user profile, located at the top right of your screen when logged in. Select the "Settings" tab, and you can edit under "name."
Sorry if I resume such an old thread, but I can't change my awful user name (actually I don't really know why I have this user name). When I do the operation described above the system says that in ten minutes my user name should become the new one, but that doesn't happens.Ideas?Thank you in advance.Paolo Andreuzza
Hi Paolo,
When I tested changing the username, it worked for me. Have you tried logging out and then logging back in?

Yes I've tried three or four times in the last two day but nothing happens, logging out and in again, each timeI know it isn't an important thing, but I'd be happier if I could have my name.Thank you.Paolo
Paolo,
Good news... this post shows your new username. Sorry that it took a little longer than expected, but you should be good to go now!
Unbelievable! I've tried many times before now, with the same procedure, without success! Maybe the admin presence here around has done the trick. ;-)Now I see the correct (new) name even in the "settings" page.Thank you again.Paolo
