Can't change subscribed e-mail address

This question is answered
Guru11160 points

I'm trying to change the e-mail address where my E2E notifications go.  My E2E "Settings" page won't let me change it, so I changed the e-mail address associated with my.Ti login.  But my E2E e-mail address still didn't change.

The SPAM filter on the company e-mail server has started identifying the E2E notifications as SPAM since the most recent E2E software upgrade.  That's why I want to change the e-mail address where my E2E notifications are going.

Help?

Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

E2E uses the myTI system.  What you need to do is go to www.ti.com and click on the myTI login on the top right.  There you should be able to change your email address you myTI homepage.

    Thanks

    Foe,

Thanks for the response.  But I still need help.  I had already changed my e-mail address for the my.TI login, and my E2E notification e-mail address didn't keep up.  (See original post.)

    My account must be cursed.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

I remember a similar issue when I wanted to change my address. Well, the exact opposite. I wanted to change my address too, but there was no way to do it in my My.TI account. When Foe manually changed my mail address for E2E, it worked (no change possible in the My.Ti account still, but this had a different reason).
So (temporarily) the situation was like yours: different mail addresses in both. However, when I manually logged out from E2E and back in through My.Ti login, the E2E address changed (back) to the My.TI account address.

SO maybe that's what was missing: you were still logged-in to E2E and the change in My.TI simply wasn't propagated to E2E until next logout and re-login to E2E, no matter how often you (re-)logged-in through My.TI login page.

This may or may not be the same problem others are having.  When I log in to my.ti, there are links under "Your acount" on the LHS including "change email address".

However, this link leads to a set of 3 dialogs that lets me change everything *except* my login email address, which is shown, but is not editable.

I no longer have access to that email address, so need to change to a new one.

Exactly what I had. See above. It's possible that you have a secure account. In my case, it was an SDROP users account with access to a secure server (the othe rfield I couldn't edit was the company filed, reading 'SDROP users'). In this case, the mail address cannot be changed for security reasons.
The usual procedure is then to delete the old myTI account and create a new one with the new address. With all negative implications this will have. AFAIK It is possible (with some effort) to reconstruct your old forum account then, but some information will be lost (like the favorites list).

Ah. In my case the login website is https://ti-pass.ext.ti.com/cgi-bin/reg/updg.pl?lt=genr&ut=c&returnto= and the company name is "DSP Catalog - Tools & Software"

I still can't change my email.  I do hope there is a way to change from one of these 'special' accounts to a regular one.

I'm assuming that if I delete my current account I'll lose all my posts and status, and perhaps also not be able to use the same username again...
