I've been trying for 30minutes to figure out how to add friends. I can't figure it out. Can you point me to where I can find out about how I add friends?
I would like to be able to have a number of my customers as my friends, so I can automatically be notified of their posts and view their activity. For the life of me, I just can't figure out how to add friends.

If you click on someone's name (you have to be logged in) you will go to their profile page.
On the right you will see "Add as Friend"
You will also see "Email Subscribe to this User"
On your own profile (click on your own name on the top right) you will see under the subscriptions tab everyone you have email subscribed to (and who has you) and there is also a friends tab to see everyone you are connected to.
