Hi,

I need to generate a code in CCS for QPSK modulation. Pls anyone help.

Is there any possibility in CCS for ploting the graph in same. If so, how can i plot?

TI Analog Customer Applications Engineer Leonard Ellis interacts frequently with and assists TI’s distribution partner field applications engineers (FAEs). “Over the years,” says Ellis, “the team has migrated from one-to-one support to directing those engineers to use E2E as much as possible. Initially, there was a concern that their technical questions would not get attention or perhaps they would have to wait many days before they received any response.”

To mitigate these fears and to continue to work towards TI's goal of providing the best support ever, Ellis and the team use various pieces of functionality within E2E including the ‘Friend’ and ‘Subscribe’ features to ensure they see every post an FAE submits. These functions contribute to the team’s goal of answering and resolving design issue questions on E2E quickly.

“As we make it easier and quicker to get the answers and the dialogue customers need, and build a knowledge base that they can trust, we all win,” says Ellis. “And E2E is making this a reality.”

Blake Ethridge
Blake Ethridge is the E2E Community Engagement Mangager. His responsibilities include running all online community and social media strategies for E2E initiatives, as well as helping to run ASP business programs for open-source efforts through DesignSomething.org. He joined TI in March 2010, and has a passion for business management and social business strategy for B2B and B2C online communities. Blake has over 16 years of experience in B2B and B2C online communities, online marketing and web strategy.

Aimee Kalnoskas
Aimee Kalnoskas is the Worldwide Community Content Editor for TI. A Jersey girl via D.C. and Pennsylvania, she joined TI in April 2010, and has helped to evolve both the E2E community and many other social media and online strategies at the company in her previous role as WW Community & Social Media Manager. Aimee has 25 years of experience in technical communication and content development in the electronics and scientific trade press, with senior roles in editorial management and publishing operations, including editor-in-chief and Strategic Editorial Director. Prior to her arrival at TI, Aimee was a senior partner with JAS Technical Media (she was the “A”) specializing in communication services for the electronics industry. She is the creator and editorial director of a successful series of online, electrical engineering tutorial programs. Aimee’s interest in electronics began early in life thanks to her father, an electronics engineer who felt that oscilloscopes also made effective nightlights for his seven children.

Chin Vu
Chinh Vu is TI’s Worldwide E2E Community manager. His responsibilities include managing the business relationships with the various constituents that make up E2E. Chinh started with TI in 1996 through our Sales and Marketing Organization. During this time, he gained knowledge of our customers and their business and support needs across the state of Texas. He moved into the Internet Market organization in 2010 where he continues his passion on helping our customers worldwide.

Forum Post: Two CDCE906 on same I2C bus, communication issue

Hi,

Background: There are 2 CDCE906 connected to the same I2C bus. The I2C addresses are supposed to overwrite to 1101001 and 1101010. The SDATA hold time is 4.1us.

Problems: When I sent internal register 10xh to 1111xb. Address 1101010 still did not respond. Address 0x1101001 respond, read back all registers from 0x00 to 0x0F, the data are the same 0x1B.

Test 1: Thought might be the address conflict cause communication problem, I removed one chip( address 1101010) from the board, sent internal register 10xh to 1111xb. Address 0x1101001, read back registers from 0x00 to 0x0F, the data are the same 0x1B.

Test 2: To check if the address change working, I removed the chip from address 1101001, and soldered it to address 1101010, sent internal register 10xh to 1111xb. Address 1001010 no respond; Address 0x1101001, read back all registers from 0x00 to 0x0F, the data are the same 0x1B.

Questions: Can I use two CDCE906 on a same I2C bus? If yes, is it a right procedure to send 10xh to 1111xb to change the address setting? Why I got 0x1B on all registers?

To answer my own post (and since the thread I was referring to is now gone):

Apparently the user has been banned for previous behaviour. His posts have been assigned to a global spam account and all replies to these posts are swallowed by the forum.

"I joined the E2E Community because I had a problem with the (then) new MSP430F5438 which I couldn't resolve based on the datasheets. I didn't find help here, however, as it turned out to be a bug in the user's guide (which was corrected after I discovered what was going on based on my own experiments).

While he can now boast the title (among others, including my Favorite Fellow Lithuanian) of being one of the first TI Gurus on E2E , Audio Applications Manager Don Dapkus was not someone who embraced the forums in the beginning. Now an enthusiastic supporter of E2E and an E2E Hall of Fame inductee, Dapkus credits his former supervisor for strongly persuading him to contribute to the forums.

"He convinced me with a 2 x 4 that E2E really was the way to do applications support," jokes Dapkus. "And it started as a 4 x 4 because the 2 x 4 broke in half,."

Dapkus is active across all audio E2E forums including the Audio Amplifiers Forum & Audio Converters Forum. In this video, Dapkus talks about how customers use E2E and why a searchable knowledge base for technical support beats emails any day...

What forums on E2E are you most active in and any tips for community members in either asking questions in them or searching for answers?
All things Audio! The devices my team supports span three different forums.

For anyone new or starting out with areas your forums cover what resources or advice would you give them?
Don’t be afraid to jump in and comment on threads. I am very disappointed that we don’t have more community involvement in the Audio forums. Audio is why we all spent all those late nights at University studying EE while the other students were out partying, right?!?

Any recent forum threads especially helpful you want to point out to community members?

Any quick tips you want to share for other community members?

We have a generous file size limit on E2E but have restrictions on File type to prevent SPAM. What type of file are you attempting to load and what is the file size? We can investigate potential issues that you may be encountering.

No matter where I go on the E2E site, profile area, etc. and enter my email address or website, the built-in format checker says my entry in invalid, so I can't provide the group any Internet information. I know my own email address and website call outs. What'sup with the funky validater app?

A new Texas Instrument calculator could be done with a touchpad, so that when one touches the graphs' lines or curves, one might be able to move it, change its values with the fingers, and the equation therefore, would have to change also, and the calculator could show it. Maybe TI company could make an Alliance with any cellphone's software developer for making the software and for permiting that the calculator may download calculus problems plus more mathematical apps others have created.

A chat, like the one BlackBerry has, or like wassap could be made for the calculator just so that people who are trying to solve a problem can communicate among them.

Android, IOS and blackberry's system could be able to work in a Texas Instrument! It would be cool, this way you can also navegate through the internet and search right there for any information you might be needing in the moment, while doing your problem solving.

A telephone could be placed in a Texas Instrument, or at least make it able to your cellphone to connect via bluetooth with your Texas Instrument, for sharing the calculator's data with others through internet.

The first one is that it seems to sometimes fail to retrieve the required information (which causes the title and the points not to be updated instead of being set to an error value like 'unknown' or '-1'), the second is that it doesn't reset these values before fetching the information beforr processing the next post in the tread. As a result, the member with the not retrievable info 'inherits' the values that were successfully fetched for the user that wrote the post above it (if any).
