03) Searching for Answers

The TI E2E Community has a knowledge base of over 1.5 million posts. The community search features allow community members to search by partial or complete product numbers, to general keywords or phrases, when searching for solutions.

Conveniently located at the top of every page on the community, you will find the new E2E search box.

New E2E Search box sticks to the top

With the new E2E Search box, the search box "sticks" at the top of the page as you scroll down, allowing for quick searches should you need to while browsing.

Using the new E2E Search box

You will also notice in the screenshot above, you now have the flexibility to search within the specific group, forum or across all of E2E. As you scroll down additional search results will display.

You can continue to refine your search by adding additional terms and qualifiers in the search bar.

Click on the text link at the top for the drop-down search results to specify whether you want to update those results to update:

  • Anywhere - Across all of E2E
  • Group - The group or sub-group you are currently in
  • in "Forum" - Only within the current Forum you are in

Note: If you click on the magnifying glass (on the right), click enter or in the bottom right click on either "Google E2E Search" or "Advanced Search", it will then update and take you to the advanced search results page where it will update your search results to be across (Anywhere) all of E2E. While there is no way to refine the Google E2E Search to a specific group or sub-group on E2E, you can under "Advanced Search" use the "Anywhere" filter to update your search results to a specific group or sub-group on E2E.

  • Google E2E Search - E2E Search results as powered by Google which span across all of E2E (and not limited to the Forum or Group you are currently in)
  • Advanced Search - E2E Search results across all of E2E (and not limited to the Forum or Group you are currently in)
    • By default the Advanced Search displays results by individual Forum thread and not per post. To update this and see all posts update and uncheck the filter box for "Threads Only"
    • To update the search results to a specific group or sub-group of E2E use the "Anywhere" option (top right) to filter to it. The numbers in parentheses display total search results currently found
