    Hi,

    When i met the LaunchPad i had really impressed. Because previously i am using PIC microcontrollers and i compared to two microcontrollers, MSP430 is more appropriate for me. Then i started to work immediately on this. MSP430's hardware(CPU, adressing modes, peripherals etc.) really better then the PIC's(16F & 18F) hardware.

    LaunchPad's most favorite good thing is came with te Debugger. If you learning something new debuggers are rescuer for us. For 8 months LaunchPad's debugger is wroked for me too. And all of things are totalled  = 4.3$ :)

    Approximately 8 months i am using MSP430 and these microcontrollers are really good for their cost.

    Here are the some photos;

    • This is the peripheral expander board for we designed MSP430 LaunchPad. Useful thing ;)

    Second thing is: MSP430's really ultra-low power MCU's. I measured the current consumption(~2.3uA) and this photo prooved it;

    • Microcontroller : MSP430G2231, LPM3 Mode

    Last thing is the C2000 32-Bit Real Time Microcontrollers. I am use for this in this year for my final project. Maybe DSP style applications i am planning... Here are the Piccolo ControlSTICK

    • Piccolo ControlSTICK (Piccolo TMS320F28027 with Debugger)

    After i met the TI's microcontrollers. I don't think one would never go back to PIC microcontrollers. TI is good and more then enough for me.

    Best Regards.

    Muhammed Fatih İNANÇ,

    Thanks for TI MSP430 and C2000 story with added pictures. I hope you are having a great Holiday and everything is going well with your great blog. Let me know if there is ever anything I can do here to improve your E2E experience.

    Blake,

    Thanks for your comment. Due to my hard school lessons, I stopped other projects a little bit time.

    But this weekend was good for me ;) I wrote a post about MSP430 Flash Memory Controller.

    Thanks for your interests.
