Some of the most eye catching demos on display included an LED coffee table that uses the MSP430™ LaunchPad to sense the audio frequency and illuminated the LED based on this data. Another fascinating demo was the Air Mouse using motion sensors on the new Tiva™ C Series Sensor Hub BoosterPack to control the cursor on your computer. Though these demos were intriguing, the demo that had most Makers talking was the C2000™ LaunchPad compatible Quadcopter BoosterPack that coordinates and controls 4 servo motors to enable the copter to fly!

Gerard Sequeira, founder of the 43Oh online community, also had several community built BoosterPacks on hand to display the strong Maker involvement within the 43Oh community. Not to be left out, our third party partners from Anaren were at our booth and were excited to announce a new Energia library for their CC110L RF “Air” BoosterPack.

Were you at Maker Faire and stopped by our booth? Upload your Maker Faire photos and share them with us on Twitter and Facebook. I had started developing a simple navigation unit based on MSP430 Launchpad and achieved success largely with the extensive help from Texas Instruments. It was so successful that now we are planning to shift OUR ENTIRE PLATFORM TO TI MCU as far as possible.
