Bluetooth Home Automation BoosterPack

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2560

Description:

This BoosterPack mockup demos how a TI cc2560 Bluetooth module interfacing with LaunchPad can enable end users to control lighting applications with traditional physical actuation as well as digital actuation via a smartphone or tablet app. The software allows you to scan and pair with nearby Bluetooth embedded devices in your home or office and allows you to actuate the integrated solid state relay.  This BoosterPack also has the ability to integrate with other components like haptic or capacitive touch elements to enable more modern lighting control user interface and user experience.

This allows a user to control household electric appliances and lighting while seated or on the other side of the room.  This is the future of home automation and connectivity.  The automated home will require multilayer networking with Bluetooth, WiFi, and Zigbee enabling different applications.

The final BoosterPack would have an integrated cc2560 module, relay or TRIAC,  and AC powersupply for drop in, out of box LaunchPad lighting demo. BoosterPack can be configured to support in wall operation for lighting, or smart socket operation for appliances.
