I'm a bit confused as to how the soft start (SS) pin on the LLC converter's PUCC25600 controller works. In the reference design it would seem that this pin would be pulled low and held low through D11, via U9, whenever the clip input switches the converter from 25V to 50V operation. Wouldn't that tend to disable the LLC converter anytime the rail is at 50V?
never mind. I now see the error in my thinking. The output of U9 doesn't go all the way to ground when the switch to 50V is made. Sorry for the distraction.
