Hi
I intend to drive a headphone (40 Ohm) by TPA6120A2. The power supply is +-12V.
Q1) At which current is the short-circuit breaker in the IC activated?
Q2) At which temperature is the short-circuit breaker in the IC activated?
In brief, I need to know how the circuit breaker works in this IC, to do my design.

Hi, Benham,
Q1) Sorry, we don't specify this for this device. The protection is intended to protect the wirebonds inside the package, and not for customers to use in their implementations. It is set above the amount of current needed to deliver the rated power of the IC.
Q2) I assume you're asking about the temperature protection? It will active when the die temperature exceeds around 150C. Again, this is to protect the IC from catastrophic damage, and you should not be depending on this parameter in your system design.
