We are using the TAS5717 in our design and we need to program the biquad filters. I have generated a set of coefficients in Matlab, but when I activate the biquad on the Amp, I only get a very high pitch noise, probably because the filter has gone unstable.
What is the format of the coefficients for the biquad (bq 0x27-0x2f, and 0x31-0x39). The documentation implies it is fix 3.23.
How do we handle negative numbers? Should we sign extend to 26 or 32 bit? Or should we negate the A coefficients and divide the middle ones by 2 (similar to other TI D/A converters)?
