Hi, TAS5716 documentation states that the device has surround sound capabilities, but there's nothing mentioned on how to configure it.

I've tried TAS57xx GUI v2.1 surround property, but it does not change the I2C config file values.

    Hi, Evgeny,

The 3D spatialization is not awesome on this device... Our newer parts are MUCH better...

Anyway, attached are some scripts for the GUI that should help you.

Thanks a lot for the info! Which part would you recommend as a replacement for TAS5716?

    Hi, Evgeny,

TAS5709, TAS5710, and TAS5711 all have MUCH better surround effects than the '5716.

Unfortunately, none of these support 192 kHz, so if that's a hard requirement, you will have to stick to the older parts. We dropped 192 kHz support on our newer parts.
