Specified voltage gain of the TAS5630B is 23dB typical. Voltage gains of several units that I measured were all very close to 24dB but they might not be "typical". Is there information available about the distribution or probable range of voltage gains of TAS5630B's, or variation of gain with temperature?
Hi, Russell,
Let us see what kind of data we can scare up over here for you.

Do you have any new information? I recall that I allowed 20 to 26dB gain, but I could make adjustments more sensitive if I could use a smaller range.
Russ
Do you have any new information? Time is near for me to commit to part values.
Let me see what i can round up for you in the next few days.
The gain is set by resistor ratios to reduce dependence on exact resistor values (which vary quite a lot in an IC process as you probably know). Since the resistors are all made out of the same type of resistance, the temperature dependence is quite low as well.
So, I'd expect you could see a range of about +/- 1 dB.
Sorry in the delay getting back to you. My TAS5630 guy has been on vacation for the past couple weeks.
