LMV1099

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV1099, LMV1091

Dear,

I'm making an little print for noise cancellation. I'm using the LMV1099 chip from Texas Instruments.
If you google it you find the datasheet. You can adjust the parameters of the IC with the protocol I²C.

My question is: do you need have a memory and a microcontroller for programming this chip. It's just used for adjusting a register. So if I connect with a microcontroller and adjust the parameters to the value I want and then unplug the microcontroller the IC need to work with the adjusted parameters. If the power is gone or set to zero these parameters still need to be the same as I set them? Or do I need to make a memory with a microcontroller and the IC?

  • Hello Willem-san,

I'll make a comment for your question.

Because of LMV1099 doesn't have internal ROM, once you turned off the power for the chip, you need to set up internal resistors via I2C connection. To make this connection you may need microcontroller with memory. If you use only uplink noise cancellation function, there is LMV1091 which is hardware control for uplink only device though LMV1091 and LMV1099 are both NRND (Not recommended for new design). But if you want both uplink and down link function, you need LMV1099.

    Best regards

  • Hi, Willem,

I'm very sorry, but this device is listed as NRND, so we are no longer providing apps support for it.
