TAS5558 problem with energy manager

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5558, TAS5624A

Hello,

I'm using a tas5558 to control my tas5624a amplifier.

Now I would like to set a power threshold to change the biquad setup. If I reach -1db RMS, I will load another biquad setup in the tas5558.

I tired to set the energy manager but I don't get it working.

First I set a high threshold for emo:

0xBB, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x4C                         // Set threshold to -1db RMS for channel 1

Next I read Register 0x10 for the emo status and always get 0x09 as result (0b00000101) which means that I'm not above the high threshold but below the low threshold?! Even if I write 0x00 to 0x10 (to clear the bits), it's still 0x09.

Does it not has to change if I reach the -1db Level? I also tried it with lower rms levels, same thing...

I don't get it. What am I doing wrong? Is it anywhere described how to set up the emo?

Thanks for your help.
