Dear sir,

Am choosing an TPA3118D2 IC for audio amplifier, we make the pcb as per referance application diagram & evaluation board. But we wont get proper output. what's the soln for this. we have make the one mistake while designing the PCB, we give small footprint for inductor, for this, we place by using additional wires.

Hello Kiran,

Can you please give more information about the values you use for output filter, power supply and load?

When you mention that you took reference from evaluation board, you refer that you have followed the same circuit, similar PCB design or both of them?.

Dear sir,

L=10uH/5.6A, C=0.68uF, VCC=13.5V, and Rload=4ohms. visaton FR10 speakers.

for design part, from both evaluation board and application diagram.

Thanks for your answer. A little late but welcome to E2E!.

When external wires are used there could be some problems, do you have in plans to redesign the board in order to have the inductors properly assembled?.

When you mention that you don't get the proper output, you refer to audio signal or have you captured some plots of the amplifier's output?.

from your side, have any reference design, please give me. and also am looking for an evaluation board. but in TI evaluation board is too costly.

how can we get it on discount price.

Hello Kiran,

The best reference design we can give you is the device's evaluation module. In TPA3118D2EVM's User's guide you can find the schematic and brief description of how to operate the amplifier.

Also, for layout reference, you can find the gerber files for the evaluation board in TPA3118D2 product folder on ti.com.

Am using Design reference, the amplifier gives the output parameters properly, Like Sync, GVDD, Fault, And BSPR, BSNR etc.but i wont get output.

please suggest me.
