TAS5624A Load Configurations by Using ***.xml for EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5538, TAS5558, TAS5548, TAS5624A, TAS5612

Hi,

The message is indicated as below if we load TAS5538's configurations which is saved by using ***.xml file.
The operating system is windows7.

X [LowThreshold]element not found Loading aborted.

On the other hand, the configuration is completed if using the older version of the gui on the XP.
Is this a phenomenon depending on the version of the firmware?
Could you please tell us your advice?

Best Regards,
Kato

  • Hi, Kato-san,

Unfortunately, the TAS5538 is an older GUI. I bet it only runs successfully in XP. I hope that you have an XP machine that you can use...

The TAS5548 and TAS5558 are the latest and greatest, and are fully functional in Win7, supported through our new GUI platform, PPC.

  • Hi Don-san,

Thank you for your quick response.
TAS5538 is mounted on TAS5624A evm which I use and it is normally operated with the latest gui on windows7.
However, TAS5624A evm which our customer uses is not worked on windows7.
I doubt firmware as that cause since I believe that the gui of version 2.1.10(03/09/2012) supports windows7.
Could you please give me your advice if I have any misunderstanding?

    Best Regards,
    Kato

  • Hi, Kato-san,

I do not believe this is a firmware issue. They are usually all or nothing. The fact that it mostly works makes me thing it is something else.

You may want to try the TAS5612 GUI in PPC. It might work better than the one that you are using.

  • Hi Don-san,

    Thank you for your advice.
I will confirm TAS5538's behavior tomorrow and will get back with you since I could import TAS5612PHD2EVM configuration to PPC platform.

    Best Regards,
    Kato
