TAS5614LA overcurrent limit

Hi,

I understand from datasheet that the overcurrent limit (Ioc) for TAS5614LA is 15A (based on ROC=24Ohm). Could you advise what would be the Ioc under the following condition:

- ROC = 30Ohm

- Configuration = BTL

- 4Ohm load

Need your advise on this as customer of mine seeing some temperature issue.

Hi,

I made a typo. The ROC should be in kOhm instead of Ohm.

Hi, Eng,

The nom OC threshold for 30K ohms is about 13.5A. This is measured with 1KHz burst mode (1/100 cycle) to keep the FET from heating up. If you are running continuous power the OC threshold will be lower due to heating.
