Multiple Headphone Amplifier Circuit: BASICS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA6130A2

Hi all, I am trying to develop a headphone amplifier circuit that can switch the input audio signal between multiple sets of headphones. I chose the TPA6130A2 for my headphone amplifiers because they have I2C compatible volume control. I understand I will need an I2C changer between the amps and the micro controller since these parts' addresses cannot be changed. Do I need some sort of buffer circuit between my audio input signal and the 5 inputs to the TPA6130's? I planned to use my stereo audio input to be input to all 5 of the headphone amps through some capacitors. I will only be driving one of the headphone amplifiers at a time. Please refer to the block diagram for clarity.

If there is a better way to do this then please let me know, this design is in the early stages.

Thanks in advance,

Drew F.
