TAS5613A output power

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3255

Hello,

We have built an amplifier board based on TAS5613EVM design to drive a piezo load through a step up converter. Unfortunatly, peformances of our design are not good compared to EVM board, even if we try our best to follow the layout guideline.

The maximum power I can get into a 2 ohm load (in PBTL mode without the step up transformer for now, 22k OCP resistor and Schottky mounted) is 56W when I reached up to 200W with the EVM board. PVDD caps are heating a lot compared to EVM board, up to 120°C at 2Ohm 56W. I firstly thought that the rated ripple current of PVDD capacitor was involved but we use Panasonic FC-A 1000uF 50V for each rail as recommended in EVM BOM (rated ripple current specified is better than nichicon capacitor really mounted on the EVM).

Can you help me to find my way ?
