TPA2006 PRSS Issues

I'm using the TPA2006 Audio Amplifier and I've followed the datasheet recommendations but I'm having a problem with power supply noise getting through to the speaker audio.  I'm getting no where near the -55dB as stated in the datasheet.

I'm using the amp in with a single ended input and my input resistors are set to 43.2kohm so I'm using a higher gain that unity.  However, when I set my input resistors to 150kohm to set it to unity gain there is no change in the PSRR.

I'm using a 1uF cap placed close to the TPA2006 and I'm also using a 10uF cap close by as well.

  • Hi David,

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products!

The gain equation is equation 1 at page 10 in the D/S, it is recommended to select a 2 V/V gain or lower for a good performance.
Actually you're setting the amplifier to 2 V/V gain when placing 150KOhm input resistor.

How are you connecting the not used input? Have you placed input capacitors?
