TAS5754M Powerdown Current

Hi Ti Engineers.

I am evaluating the TAS5754M(EVM).

I have a question about IPVDD at Power down.

IPVDD described as 8~9mA on DATA sheet(SLAS987)

However it was 0.1~0.2mA when actually I measure.

Why such a difference occurs?

Connection: 24V---<Ammeter>---Pin No.6 and No.7
PVDD: 24V
SPK_GAIN: 20dB
fSPK_AMP: 768kHz
Powerdown Request Register: [1] Powerdown mode

    Thanks for quick response.

    I have another question.

    I am designing supply circuit that is our product’s standby.

    If I use below conditions, is their has any problem?

     

    PVDD: 24V

    DVDD/AVDD: 0V

    And, do you have any conditions or timings when supply pow-ON/OFF?

    When I use always PVDD ON , it will be controlled only DVDD/AVDD.

  • Hi Matsuoka-san,

    If you are referring to CPVDD when you say AVDD then yes the condition above is ok. You can have PVDD on and DVDD/CPVDD off. I would recommend muting and putting the device in powerdown before removing power to DVDD/CPVDD.
