Hi,

I saw the datasheet that shows the maximum output is only 4W in 8ohm, PVDD=7.4V, THD+N=10%.

If I increase the voltage, what's the suggestion output watt?

BTW, I want to select a 5W@8ohm solution and no pop noise. (In addition to TPA3113D2) Thanks!

    Hello,

    Page 10 Figure 15 in the datasheet shows the output power vs. PVDD Voltage plot for an 8ohm load. Keep in mind that the TPA3131D2 is rated for 7W maximum for brief periods of time and 4W continuous.

    If more than 7W maximum is required with a higher PVDD, I would recommend moving to the TPA3132D2 for up to 25W.

    As for the 5W 8ohm application, the TPA3131D2 should work well assuming the voltage supply is increased in accordance to figure 15.
    This device also has a Mute pin to keep pop to a bare minimum by togging this pin after startup and before shutdown.

    The TPA3144 may also be a good solution but it does not have a mute pin.
