PCM2707 design bus powered - galvanic isolation

Hello everyone;

i want to make a project with PCM2707 bus powered but i need GND isolation from usb-pc ;

i was thinking to use DCR01 Miniature, 1W Isolated Regulated DC/DC Converter for isolation but i don't know if usb bus differential line is working without reference to it`s own GND (from PC).

I really need to avoid using a full galvanic isolation module for usb (costly and used space)

    Hi, Mihai,

    Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products.

    USB differential line and VBUS are all referenced to USB ground. Additionally, D+ should be pulled up with a 1.5 kohm resistor. The device must not provide power to the pull up resistor on D+ while VBUS of the USB port is inactive. This is to avoid back voltage in self-powered operation.
