HI my customer is wondering about the cost of the following parts.

I’m wondering why the TPA3113D2 (2x6W) is a lot cheaper than the TPA2000D2 (2x2W).

Does the TPA3113D2 have any special disadvantages except the larger package compared to the TPA2000D2?

(We have a 5V and 12V power supply on our motherboard anyway)

Hi Kamal,

Some of the differences between TPA3113D2 and TPA2000D2 are that TPA3113D2 has higher quiescent supply current in both operative and shutdown modes. Also TPA2000D2 has PSRR = -77dB and TPA3113D2 has Ksvr = -70dB and TPA3113D2 is a bigger package.

If you're looking for a cheaper low power amplifier, you could take a look at TPA2012D2.
