LM4782 3-Channel Audio Amplifier DC Application

Considering using the LM4782 as an output stage for a direct coupled (response is DC to a few kHz) amplifier.  Are there any known issues with this type of application for the LM4782?

  • Hello Tim

It is recommended to use input capacitors in order to avoid DC offset in the amplifier. Unfortunately, this device is "lifebuy" maybe you could consider to use another device.
Please let me know your opinion.

  • Jose,

The offset condition would not be a concern for my application as the LM4782 would be placed inside a control loop that has a very low offset amplifier as the controlling element for the LM4782 output stage. The entire loop will be DC coupled.

    Lifetime buy is a concern.

    Thank you.
  • Tim,

If the device has a very low DC offset, I think that you shouldn't have any issue with your application. But you should take into account that the device is "Lifebuy".
