Small, low power Bluetooth-controlled 5 to 9 band stereo graphic equalizer.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM3070

Hello,

I'm looking for the best TI product(s) to use for a Bluetooth controlled 5 to 9 band stereo graphic equalizer with recall of 5 to 10 equalizer memories. The circuit design will be a small footprint (4 to 9 sq. inches) and low-power battery operated. Stereo line-in and headphones-out. I could start from scratch, but  would prefer to use existing designs as a basis. Possible analog, DSP or combination.

Thank you,

DPT

  • Hi, DPT,

We have several Bluetooth reference designs, I suggest you to try looking in our  TI Design Reference Library  and see if one of our TI Designs could be useful to you as a starting point.

  • Diego,

My main concern was not so much with the Bluetooth part but which ICs are most current for dealing with audio DSP for equalization. I know of the TAS3001C but that may not be the most current or applicable device.

    Thanks,

    DPT

  • Hi, DPT,

You are right, the TAS3001C is a NRND part so we are not longer supporting it. You can take a look to our collection of audio codecs with integrated miniDSP, like the PCM3070. You can use the fully programmable miniDSP to configure equalizers, DRCs, and other audio effects with our PurePath Studio software. This wiki page has more information about the development of miniDSP applications with PurePath Studio.
