GPIO of TAS5766,TAS5754M

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5754M, TAS5766M

Dear Sirs,

My customer asked me that GPIO pin function of TAS5766, TAS5754M.

TAS5766M, TAS5754M has three GPIO pins.
They also have a function as a SDOUT.
Do each of the GPIO is possible to output performs a DSP processed independently?

Best Regards,

Y.Hasebe

  • Hi, Hasebe-san,

The GPIO outputs on the TAS5754M can be used in different ways by the amplifier. You can select any GPIO to output the SDOUT (pre or post processing) signal. For more information about the GPIOs, please refer to Register P0-8, P0-(83-87) and P0-19 of the datasheet.

  • All the 3 GPIOs can be set to be SDOUT. P0-R7-B0 selects what to be outputted. If this bit is 0, all the 3 GPIOs will output post-processing data. If it is 1, pre-processing data will be outputted. You cannot output post-processing data via GPIO1 and pre-processing data vis GPIO2 at the same time.
  • Hello Diego-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
My customer says that to be performed with independent DSP processing in the normal output of the addition of two GPIO to output.

Is the DSP processing that is output from these GPIO pins same?
Is it possible the individual independent DSP processing?

DSP processing From e-mail the contents of the Andy-san I think so that it can not be only one treatment, but ...

Please tell me about the above questions.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi, Hasebe-san,

As Andy mentioned, you can select if the output is either pre-processed or post-processed data, however, there is no way to stream both data trough two different GPIOs.
