TAS5710 Power consumption

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5710, TAS5760M, TAS5754M

Hi,

I would like to ask you a question about "Max power consumption" of PVCC/TAS5710.

Could you tell me how to calculate it as following conditions?

  Speaker : 8ohm

  PVCC : DC15V

Thank you for your support.

Best Regards,

  • Hi, Suzuki-san,

I would like to recommend you to take a look to our newer closed loop amplifiers as they have better performance, smaller BOM count, easier end-system integration tools and lower cost than the TAS5710. A good replacement would be the TAS5754M, this device features great processing capabilities and overall better performance. If  a no-processing device is an option, I would recommend you the TAS5760M.

  • Hi Diego-san,

Thank you for your suggestion about the replacement.

I understood well, thanks so much!

But my customer has already made their PCB with TAS5710 and it seems to be late to ask, as of now...

Next time I will recommend the devices you recommend to the customer.

Do you have any documents about the calculation of power consumption??

    I would appreciate your advice.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi, Suzuki-san,

Sorry for the delayed response and thanks for your comments, we are looking forward for your help recommending our newer amplifiers.

About the power consumption, It is calculated in base of the output power, efficiency of the amplifier and power supply. You can find more information on the folowing application note:
