Asking for the TAS5753 GUI and setting

Hi Team,
Customer used the TAS5753. Please help for the following questions.

1.       Can the dumped CFG file and .H file show more text description to explain the registers setting.

For example, it can add the specific register name.

2.       If tuning 3Watt AGL application, the AGL threshold 1dB adjustment is not convenient

3.       Can the GUI generate the .cfg file like the following?

W 54 27 00 00 0C 4A 00 00 18 95 00 00 0C 4A 00 f8 e4 a5 03 86 ea 32

Customer think the following format is not friendly.

 .

4.       How to adjust the phase, group delay, impulse response and pole zero information for the filter design?

Thank you and Best regards,

SHH

  • Hi, SHH,

Please refer to my comments below:

1- I will check whether is it possible to make this, but i think it might be complicated.

2- I think that if fine tuning is required, you might be able to write directly the value to the amplifier via I²C Monitor. I'll double check this and will let you know.

3- I will check this and will get back to you.

4- The response changes according to the equalizers used.

  • Hi Diego,

    Thanks.

For the question 4, please let me explain more. how can cutomer to use the chart information to adjust the EQ? Or how to know the EQ tuning design is stable or not.

please provide how to use the phase, pole informtion for the EQ design.

    Thanks,

    Scott

  • Hi Diego,

    Can you help?

    Thanks,

    Scott

  • Hi, Scott,

The parameters you mention are used to check how the input signal is affected by the biquad filters. In general, they are used as stability reference when the user requires to enter manually the coefficients of the filter.

  • Hi Diego,

    Thanks for help.

    How about questions 1~3?

    Thanks,

    Scott

  • Hi, Scott,

    Please see below:

1- As mentioned, this will be complicated as the dump process is a readback from all the registers of the amplifier. The exported file includes only the registers and their corresponding values, it does not add any text apart from the register data.

2- The AGL threshold can be fine tuned by clicking the number below the level control:

3- Only the current format is supported, both cases are the same as the '>' symbol means write continuation.

  • Hi Diego,

For 2nd question, cusotmer know how to use the slide bar. Customer think it is not easy for only 2Watt to 3Watt tuning.

    Can you comment this?

For 3rd question, can you support for the format customer request?

    Thanks,

    Scott

  • Hi, Scott,

I just noticed the picture related to question 2 was not uploaded correctly, please refer to below. The threshold can be changed with any level desired manually by clicking in the number below the slide bar (Yellow). The precision of the value that can be written is 0.01dB, so I think it is enough to fine tune the power level.

For question 3, I am already checking with the team for the possibility of updating the export format. I'll get back to you once I get any update.
