PurePath Console 3 - TAS5751M/33L App will not install

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5751M

I have installed the PurePath Console and I2C Master app successfully.  I have tried installing the TAS5751M/33L eval module app.  However it runs to about 20 percent and then generates a message that flashes very quickly at the bottom of the console window:

'Problems occurred during installation, and TAS5751M/33L could not be installed or updated.'

I've tried rebooting but nothing gets me path this point.  I've received no reply from the audio_software@ti.com email address.

Any ideas on how to install the eval board app?  It's hard to evaluate the hardware when the tools required don't work.  Even harder that the distributor support structure has been destroyed by TI.

  • Hi, Nathan,

I got information about this issue. This problem could happen when the user has signed in for a long time (more than 30 minutes) in PPC3 and then installs/updates an App. This might be fixed by signing out and in again.

Another possible cause would be that the app was downloaded partially, leading to the corruption of the app. If this is the case, PPC3 might be unable to delete the corrupt file. Can you please try the following?

    1. Open Run dialog (Win + R).
    2. Copy and paste the below link to Run dialog and click OK.

    %homepath%\AppData\Local\Temp\Texas Instruments\

    1. Windows Explorer will open.
    2. Delete the “addon.tar.gz” file, if it exists.
    3. Open PPC3 application.
    4. Click Sign in button in App Center page and enter ‘sign in’ credentials.
    5. Install TAS5751M/33L EVM App (listed in Available EVM apps).

Please let me know if this information helps with your issue.
