Need Amplifier for Exciter

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA2026D2, TPA2028D1, TPA3132D2, TPA3118D2, TPA3112D1

Dear

I wanted to drive exciter DAEX25FHE-4 from Dayton. Can you please suggest the amplifier for the same.

Thanks

  • Hi Krunal,

You can use one of our Class-D amplifiers.
Are there any specific requirements you're looking for? Volume control? I2C communication? Analog/Digital input?

  • Dear Ian

Volume control will be added advantage.I2C communication will be more preferable. Will nterface that amplifier to microcontroller so please suggest part number accordingly, At present I am not sure for any functionality but need to drive exciter as I have attached in my previous post.

Kindly suggest part with lesser price , lesser external components and efficient to drive exciter.

    Thanks

  • Hi Krunal,

You can take a look at TPA2028D1 for a mono solution and TPA2026D2 for a stereo solution. Both amplifiers have I2C interface and analog input. These amplifiers provide around 3W at 4-Ohm load like the exciter.

  • Dear Ivan

My Exciters has power of 24W and 4ohm of impedance. Can you please suggest part for the same? I do not have the Codec in between my controller and Speakers I will get data and transmit to amplifier anf amplifier will pas to exciter

    Thanks

  • Krunal,

For higher power you could take a look at TPA3118D2 and TPA3132D2 for stereo solutions and there is TPA3112D1 for mono solution.
These amplifiers are HW controlled (not I2C) and analog input. If you need I2C control interface with analog input you should take a look at the TAS54xx family although these are Q1 rated.
If you're looking for digital inputs (I2S) you could take a look at TAS57xx family.

  • Dear Ivan

I have  to connect output of Audio Jack to the amplifer, so please suggest  amplifier who can accept left and right or single input  and give the output for 24W, 4Ohm for exciter. Two output amplifier will also work for us.

    Thanks
