PCM9211: coaxial input pins

Part Number: PCM9211

Hi,

I understand that RXIN0 and RXIN1 should be connected to GND when coaxial inputs are not used and VDDRX is not supplied. The reasons are the below threads.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/audio_amplifiers/f/6/t/590264
https://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/audio_converters/f/64/t/329626

However, our customer found in Table 1 of datasheet page 20 that coaxial input-pin outputs 'H' during reset.  I doubt that RXIN0 and RXIN1 belong to normal digital input. Please tell us the behavior of RXIN0 and RXIN1 when VDDRX is not supplied and /RST pin is 'L'.

Best regards,

Akio Ito

  • Hi, Ito-san,

Thanks for the question. When VDDRX is not supplied, RXINx inputs have 'L' level at any /RST condition.

As you mention, these pins are set to 'H' level when VDDRX is supplied and /RST=L.
