Hi TI team,

I have purchased a TAS5782MEVM lately, and bought a PurePath Console Motherboard(AIP006F) a year ago. I had received the access link to my Secure Software last year to download the PPCM3_Version: 3.0.8 for Windows & Mac.

However, After I installed the PPC3_Version 3.0.8 driver, the windows & mac computer both cannot recognize the TAS5782MEVM, and there is no links shown for me to download after I clicked the ( Available EVM Apps ) icon. I can only see "A generic I2C Master for all devices" is only available for download in Windows system, but not shown on Mac.

So For the TAS5782MEVM, do I need other driver for it? where to download? * ( Do you also have the driver for Mac ? I hope the PPC3+TAS5782M can work on Windows & Mac. )

Hello Fai! Did you also request access to the TAS5782 GUI plug-in the works with the PPC3? You need both to operate. If not please send me your email address and I can approve it for you. Thanks, Jeff

Hi Fai,

Are you running Windows 10? PPC3 should work well in Windows 7/8/8.1.

After you connect PPCMB to your PC, can you see a USB-AudioEVM device in the Device Manager?

Hello Jeff,

The PPCMB & 5782EVM worked fine, however I guess the USB controlled TAS1020B was shorted by some careless handling, and The computer can not recognise it afterward.

I have just replaced the TAS1020B taken from 5731EVM board. But still the computer can not recognise the PPCMB & 5782EVM. ( the 5V & 3.3V supplies are normal)

Do you have any idea how can I boot up the PPCMB system again ?

Hi Fai,

Please check if the LOCK LED near the USB jack lights up when you power up the EVM and connect your USB cable (See attached snapshot).

If it doesn't light up, the firmware of TAS1020B may have lost.

In that case, please follow the procedure stated in this E2E post to solve the problem: (It apllies to your Rev. F mother board as well)

Hi Jeff! I'm preparing at the moment to use the PPMB + TAS5782MEVM. I arelready downloaded PurePath Console 3 but I can't find any rfereces on ti.com for the TAS5782 GUI plug-in. Where can I request this software for any cases my eMail adress is d-bronner@ti.com - Best regards Dierk

Hello Dierk! You should receive an email with a link with the download to the TAS5782 plug in. for these newer devices there is a separate plug-in for each type. When you next open the PPC3 you should be able to refresh and then be good to go. Thanks,Jeff

Hey Jeff thanks for the quick reply. Indeed, I already requested the TAS5782M-SW when I was requesting PPC3 and got it both approved in MySecure Software a week ago. After I installed the PPC3 there was a point where I had to log in with an directly the TAS5782 Plugin was visible. I just didn't know that the TAS5782M-SW actually is the TAS5782 GUI plug-in. Thanks a lot!
