TAS5766M: Question of the TAS5766 XSMT/UVP Pin's Configuration

Part Number: TAS5766M

Hi Sirs,

The XSMT/UVP is a multi-function pin. Would you pls advise if its default function XSMT or UVP? Can we tell it from register B1R5?

However, it seems an XSMT in default because we can mute the TAS5766 when applying a logic low to this signal:

  • Hi Wayne,

The function of XSMT/UVP depends on the rise time and/or fall time of the sensed voltage dynamics.

When the rise/fall time is less than 20 ns, the pin would initiate a soft unmute/mute.

When the rise/fall time is more than 6 ms, the pin would initiate a UVP.

    Thank you!
