TPA3106D1: PA output waveform abnormal with transformer load

Part Number: TPA3106D1

When PA input <600mV, PA output waveform is OK, but when the input>600mV, output waveform has been abnormal, transform power is 30W, speak is 5W. Can anyone help on this issue? Thank you very much!

  • Hi Wei,

This is not expected. From your scope screen capture, the output signal peak value is around 10V, and far less than the power supply voltage. May I know how much the resistance on the output of the class-D, because I saw some transformers on the load. Could you please check the following:

    1. For the first scope screen capture, could you add one channel to measure the FAULT signal. From your result, it looks like FAULT is triggered.

    2. From your picture, you used 20Hz input signal. Also for the your first mearsurement, could you try 1kHz input frequency signal with the same input amplitude.

    3. How much Gain setting is used in this application? How much is the load resistanan on the ouptut of class-D?

    Best regards,
