TPA6141A2: Noise Spectrum Performance

Part Number: TPA6141A2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA6140A2

Dear Specialists,

My customer is interested in TPA6141A2 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

I would like to confirm output spectrum performance (DC to 2GHz) with 50ohm termination.

Could you please send some document?

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hi Shinichi-san,

I don't think this data is available. I assume that an FFT (spectrum analysis) on the output of the device with 50ohm loads is what your customer is looking for, right?
I could try to perform a test on the device to get some data, however I don't have neither TPA6140A2 or TPA6141A2 boards available. I could manage to get a TPA6140A2 board, would that be good for you?

  • Hi Ivan,

    Thank you for your reply.

    (1) I agree with your idea.
Just to be sure, I will check with that customer.
And then I'll feedback to you.

    (2) I think it's OK, because basic function is the same between TPA6140A2 and TPA6141A2.

    Best regards,
    Shinichi
  • Hi Ivan,

I could confirm the customer's request in detail.

Could you please see below and attached file.

A frequency range is little bit changed.

    <concern>

When the amp is active, how is the influence to the RF receiver.

    <request>

Noise performance from around 1MHz to 3GHz (dBm)

This condition is the most noisy of charge pump.

I'd like to confirm the frequency and level.

    I appreciate your great help.

    Best regards,

    Shinichi

  • Shinichi,

I'll investigate if we can perform this test with the FM tuner, however the analysis frequency range might be too high.

  • Hi Ivan,

    Thank you for your reply.

I am looking forward to waiting the data.

Please let me know if there's something.

I appreciate your great help and cooperation.

  • Hi Ivan,

The customer'd like to know the current status.

I would be grateful if you could inform the schedule.

    ---

    (1) Were you able to get the EVM?

if not, when could you get it?

    (2) When could you send a data?

    ---

I am sorry to rush you, but the customer data need the data to consider.

I appreciate your great help and cooperation.

    Best regards,

    Shinichi

  • Shinichi,

I should receive the EVM this week.
Target measurement frequency seems really high. You want to evaluate the possible interference from charge pump switching at the ground path? The charge pump switching frequency is in the order of kHz.

  • Hi Ivan,

    Thank you for your reply.

The customer is considering tranceiver around 1GHz, so they need a data.

I'd be grateful if you could measure as high as possible.

By the way, how much is the analyzer maximun frequency.

If possible, could you use spectrum analyzer from another division?

I appreciate your great help and patience.

    Best regards,
    Shinichi
